On to Nickle, via Gonzales

After exploring Luling for a few hours, and having a nice BBQ lunch at a local place it was time to hit the road to try and find the ghost town of Nickle

Most of this trip was done on single lane rural, roads, however a small part of it included I-10 which cuts across Texas linking San Antonio and Houston. This is the view from the road and a self portrait of the driver.

Before getting to Nickle, I passed through Gonzales. The panaroma below is of the historic downtown square in Gonzales.

As is typical of Texas towns, the town square in Gonzales is dominated by the courthouse. This one appears to be a bit newer than most.

This is an interesting building on the way to downtown Gonzales. As it was getting late in the day, and I still had Nickle to find I did not investigate what this building is.
